California Communications Association (CalCom), is a statewide non-profit trade association comprised of all of the incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) providing telecommunications services within California. In addition to these core members, over 200 providers of products and services to the industry are CalCom associates. CalCom serves as an industry forum by addressing common issues, providing education and resources to member companies, and advocating sound public policy. CalCom provides a wide range of services including legislative and regulatory representation, industry publications, educational seminars, and specialized consulting services.
Margaret came to CalCom from private practice as a technical litigation consultant on utility, energy and environmental cases. She has a JD from University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law, as well as an MS in Energy Engineering, BS in Petroleum Engineering and a BA in Organizational Communications. For the past 20 years she has worked as a special consultant on various energy cases before the California Public Utilities Commission.
